At the age of nine, I discovered a love of design during the construction of my parent’s home. My mom indulged my wishes and left me in charge of the interior design, or so she let me think. This experience sparked my interest, but did not change my mind, which was set on becoming the next Barbara Walters. Sticking to that goal, I studied advertising, television and radio broadcasting in Cleveland Ohio and became a TV personality for The Cleveland Indians and later worked for CBS radio in Pittsburgh.
During work on an advertising campaign for a new home furnishing showroom, the owner asked if I was interested a position as a design consultant. Transitioning into the interior design field was the perfect career move. My new position gave me the opportunity to use my creativity to plan beautiful interiors for my clients. While working in my consulting position in Ohio, I worked on project ranging from residential to commercial projects in the Cayman Islands and Aruba.
With my recent relocation to Houston, Cantoni was my first stop. I am looking forward to continuing my career as a Design Consultant at Cantoni and excited about the broad range of possibilities we offer our clientele. Truly, the best part of Interior Design is becoming part of my loyal client’s families and knowing that when they walk in the door after a long day, I was a part of creating an atmosphere they can’t wait to come home to. |
