Buying Team Assistant - Dallas, TX

We are currently seeking a Buying Team Assistant to work full-time at our Dallas Office. Cantoni's in-house buying department has an immediate opening for a highly motivated and eager to learn team player with outstanding communication and technical skills, a superior sense of style, and a passion for outstanding work. The Buying Assistant must be eager to learn, creative, detail-oriented, computer and internet savvy. Candidate must be able to take direction and liaise between multiple departments including Marketing, Buying and Management.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Support the Buying Team in the department process including data entry, product management, and support of Cantoni Group websites, both internal and external. Perform ongoing maintenance and content updates online, including responsibility for daily site updates of product content, pricing, and promotions. Work with website team on the Cantoni system.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the buying team and work with marketing team to update product information
  • Enter product information on various sites
  • Support teams in the update of product, pricing, special offers, etc.
  • Provide support in helping to maintain content (images, copy, and data), links and products within multiple databases
  • Test Websites regularly to ensure that content, products, links and services are up-to-date and websites are working properly.
  • Assist Buying Team with promotions and promotional content.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field is a plus but not required.
  • Proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong understanding of social media and marketing.
  • Previous experience working with e-commerce websites a plus.
  • Good writing and proofreading skills.
  • Must be able to multitask, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Flexibility and follow through ability a must
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service skills via email and phone.
  • Furniture experience not required but interest in furniture and design is important for success in this position.

If you have a strong background in kitchen/closet sales and experienced in calling on the A&D community this is a great opportunity to earn a performance based income.

We are currently seeking General Manager for our Los Angeles Showroom. This candidate will be a well-connected and motivated General Manager to effectively manage the Los Angeles Cantoni location. The GM provides management and leadership over the sales team and operations in an environment that establishes Cantoni as the leading source of modern furniture in the LA market.

The ideal candidate is an individual with strong leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills, good organizational skills and excellent ability to play a key management role for the entire showroom including sales and operation.  We are looking for a career minded individual interested in leadership and creating growth with Cantoni and the LA Showroom.   Weekend and some Holidays are required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years retail management experience preferable in home furnishings
