Jay’s philosophy, to “design and create with confidence and excitement,” is prevalent in every one of his sophisticated, comfortable and clean interiors. “I thrive on understanding clients’ wants and needs. My goal is to deliver an end result that exceeds their expectations,” he says. “I truly enjoy working with clients to create spaces that are special.”
A Kansas native, Jay has spent the past several decades designing and building furniture for retailers and trade companies, with custom pieces inspired by fashion, architecture and music. Much like his furnishings, his dynamic designs incorporate his love of symmetry and balance, while blending high-end textiles, functional furnishings, exceptional artwork and memorable details.
You’ll likely spot Jay at Cantoni in a Hugo Boss jacket, a black cotton V-neck shirt or dress shirt, and always a Hugo Boss belt. “I love accenting darker pieces with accessories that are lighter for contrast,” he says. The frequent accent to his “sophisticated casual” look? His favorite green-tea frappuccino.
