Leather Information - Inside
The Soffio leather is chrome-tanned, retanned and through-Aniline dyed. Then, it is subjected to the vacuum drying process, which requires an accurate and skilled manual work. During this phase, leather is dried at low temperatures allowing the fibers topreserve a high level of softness. Possible grain differences are to be considered a natural feature, as well as possible small imperfections such as closed scars, full grain flaws and skin inflammations, typical in all semi aniline leathers where no pigment finishing process is used. The natural appearance and feel are later obtained following the dry drumming process. Stainless steel drums with hi-tech systems are used to make the feel even, with a natural-looking opacity.
Leather Information - Outside
The Natural Velour leather is chrome tanned, then retanned and finally it is through-Aniline dyed. It is a natural full-grain leather and entirely aniline made. Possible grain differences are to be considered a natural feature, along with imperfections such as closed scars, full-grain flaws and skin inflammations, typical in all pure aniline leathers. No pigment finishing process is used. The natural appearance and feel are later obtained using the drumming process. Stainless steel drums with hi-tech systems are used to polish the leather and to make the feel even and powdery to the touch. During the drumming process, leather undergoes the Scotchgard treatment, which makes the surface water and oil repellent. During the normal life of the product, leather is subject to variations in temperature, exposure to sun light and general wear and tear, which determine its final status.
