Burt Leather: Pure aniline leather. This article has a special touch and particular natural look with silky remarkably soft hand. The differences of the color in the shade of leathers from the same hide, same batch and one lot to another are due to the different, natural absorption of the color and reflects all its quality and natural beauty. The grain is naturally plumped during production processes, so its uneven or irregular aspect.
Vintage Leather: These leathers are very high quality, obtained and processed respecting original characteristics of the hides, without altering them. They are dyed in wooden casks, in which they are submerged until they have taken on the desired colour through absorption of transparent aniline dyes. Each hide has its own story and this processing technique preserves the natural surface of the leather, allowing the story to be “read” through the natural marks that it bears. The presence of scars, insect bites, wrinkles, veining and other visible natural traces on these hides are proof of their complete authenticity and differences in grain and hue testify their high value.
