Rugs have been woven alon the banks of the Ganga River for generations. Originally, it was farmers who did the weaving at home. A wealth of weaving workshops has been now developed in the region. The weaving is usually done by two people wo sit together and meet in the middle. Only high quality dyes are used. The facility uses a closes system, which means that the water from the dye bath is recycled. All the rugs are professionally hand washed and hand finished.
