When the Boozalis family found themselves making the frequent two-hour commute from their quiet home in Victoria to the bustling city of Houston, they decided it was time to invest in a second home in the city. After searching high and low for their ideal city home, the Boozalis family fell in love with this stunning three-bedroom, three-bathroom condo with sweeping city views in The Warwick Towers. This gorgeous 3,000 square foot spread was gut-renovated for the prominent Victoria-based couple and with the help of the Cantoni Houston design team was transformed into a serene urban retreat for the soon-to-be empty nesters and served as a hub for their jet-setting family of seven.

A surgeon by profession, Dr. George Boozalis, founder of the Victoria Eye Center had a precise vision for the home’s design direction and worked closely with his wife, Debbie and the Cantoni design team to create a modern homea completely different aesthetic to their traditional estate in Victoriawhere they could envision themselves retiring one day. Together, they selected the monochromatic grey and white color palette carried throughout the residence. With four daughters and one son to accommodate, the design team also created two multi-functional bedrooms with custom furnishings to maximize the space and its stunning views.

Speaking of stunning views, maintaining the view was the determining factor for interior decor too. The team selected Cantoni furnishings and accessories that would give predominance to the view: a glass-topped custom breakfast table for example, which the Boozalises enjoy from a balcony. The design team also advised on the Boozalis’ art selection, which included original Story Sloan black and white prints that captured the Houston area in the 1940s a stark contrast to the bustling neighborhood now surrounding the building. It was very important to the Boozalis family that the walls were not overloaded with art. After all, the view is their art.
