Antonella Scarpitta has been working for more than 30 years as Designer and Interior Architect in the Brianza area.
In 1978, the 20 year-old-lady founded the Studio “INTERIOR HOUSE” and worked for important Italian and foreign companies. The first 5 years represented a significant step in her activity characterised by a continuous research of new trends and experiences that defined her style, a special personal mark clearly visible in all her works.
From 1998 to 2001 she collaborated with ALGI following the organization of the exhibition “Italiana Design Furniture Show” in Las Vegas and Chicago.
In 2001 she found the studio “Antonella Scarpitta Designer A360°”, and she deals with Industrial design, interior design, textile design, architecture, contracts, exhibit design, graphics and communication. She is also teaching as visiting in different international schools and universities. Some of her works were exposed at MOMA museum (New York) , Design museum (London), Für Agewandte museum (Koln), Vitra museum (Berlin), MACBA (Barcelona), Museo d’Arte contemporanea (Lissone - Mi), Triennale (Milano). In the same year, she also worked in collaboration with ICE in Atlanta and Federlegno Arredo, to organize a seminar at High Point in the USA concerning the value and the quality of the Italian craftsman production.
In 2004 she received the “Red Dot” award for the project sofa “SAPPO” created for the German company “Hans Kaufeld”, as the best design project.
She collaborated with several film directors such as Lina Wertmuller and Maurizio Nichetti, famous actresses like Isabella Rossellini and Maria Grazia Cucinotta and with the photographers Gian Paolo Barbieri and Escalar.
Many of her project have been published on national and international magazines and she is currently working for Italian and foreign companies.
