ssenemar@cantoni.comThose who know Saghar know she has a calming yet passionate personality that is readily apparent in her interiors – she effortlessly blends balance, contrast and simplicity to create relaxing, interesting spaces. “I love to improve my clients’ quality of life by creating peaceful surroundings that bring them happiness,” she says. “That’s the greatest joy in my career.”
During her upbringing in Shiraz, Iran – she speaks fluent Farsi – Saghar was drawn to varied textures, furniture arrangements and modern design. She went on to earn a bachelor of fine arts in interior design architecture from the Art Institute of Houston, and has created both residential and commercial spaces since joining Cantoni in 2007. “I love the people I work with,” she says. “They are family to me, and I enjoy spending time with them.”
When she isn’t designing alongside her colleagues, she focuses on her drive to live a healthy, mindful lifestyle: you’ll often find Saghar running -- rain or shine. She also practices yoga and meditation regularly. But she also knows how to indulge – Italian cuisine is her go-to. “Tiramisu for desert is my guilty pleasure,” she says.

Nothing is better than a good glass of red wine, and preferably one that is dry and earthy.

Black.
What’s your bucket list travel destination?
The Swiss Alps.
Do you keep anything particular on your nightstand?
A notebook – I like to record what I’m thankful for each day.
