With Cantoni since 1999, Kohl's work spans enviably serene, rich neutrals, textured upholstery, fluffy rugs, to vibrant and clean lined with punches of the unexpected. "I believe in a good mix, marriage and flow, and love to coordinate color, texture and pattern," he says. "My philosophy is to be comfortable, while being surrounded by the finer things in life." With a wide range of commercial and residential projects in his portfolio, he enjoys solving design challenges big and small. "From kitchen remodels to reimagining interiors, I love collaborating with my clients to design creative solutions that work for their lives."
Kohl has honed his expertise in the design realm for more than 25 years, including eight years at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center and eight years with one of the city's top interior designers. His local involvement extends to charity: he volunteers with People Are Loving Support (PALS) and Joining Hearts.
When he’s not in Atlanta, he's traversing the globe and he never skips a flea market. ‘I love hunting for antiques, from midcentury-modern pieces to current contemporary finds,’ he says. A step inside his closet reveals an eclectic, classic mix that speaks to his traditional lean (he loves art-filled walls). As for the key items in his wardrobe? “Matching hangers and my Persian rug,” he jokes.
