When longtime Cantoni client Dimitar Popov began building his new Austin residence, he wasn't starting a new design relationship—he was continuing one. Having previously partnered with Design Consultant George Saba on multiple homes, he once again turned to the Cantoni Design Studio to help bring his newest vision to life.

That established relationship shaped every stage of the project. Because George already understood his client's aesthetic preferences and lifestyle, the design process moved with an unusual level of confidence and efficiency. Despite Dimitar's demanding travel schedule, the home came together through ongoing conversations, shared ideas, and design decisions made remotely, allowing the project to progress seamlessly regardless of where work took him.

The home's expansive floor plan presented an opportunity to create interiors that felt refined without overwhelming the architecture. Rather than filling every space, the design focused on balance, proportion, and restraint—allowing each room to feel intentional while preserving the openness and natural flow of the residence.

Throughout the home, carefully layered furnishings, architectural lighting, and warm contemporary finishes establish a cohesive visual language. Open gathering spaces encourage conversation and entertaining, while quieter living areas provide moments of comfort and retreat. Every selection was made with the larger experience of the home in mind, ensuring each space felt connected while maintaining its own distinct character.

The completed interiors reflect more than a shared design aesthetic—they reflect the value of a long-term design partnership. By building on years of collaboration, the Cantoni Design Studio was able to create a home that felt thoughtfully resolved from the outset, balancing sophistication with livability while complementing the home's contemporary architecture.

Before the homeowners had the opportunity to fully settle into the residence, an unexpected relocation prompted the sale of the property. The interiors remained in place, allowing prospective buyers to experience the home's full potential from the moment they walked through the door. The home ultimately sold with its furnishings, demonstrating how a cohesive design vision can elevate not only the experience of living in a home, but also the way it is presented to others.
