Set against a backdrop of clean architectural lines and refined materiality, this Dallas residence was designed to feel both modern and deeply livable. Developed in collaboration with the Cantoni Design Studio, Cantoni Kitchen Design Director Alejandro Garcia, builder Robert Elliot, and architectural firm Bernbaum Magadini, the project centers around a sleek contemporary kitchen and expansive main living space tailored to support everyday comfort, entertaining, and long-term functionality. The result is a home that balances understated luxury with warmth, durability, and thoughtful design at every scale.

For the homeowner, it was essential that the home feel timeless rather than trend-driven. Every furnishing and material selection needed to support a lifestyle centered on gathering, entertaining, and daily comfort while still maintaining a highly curated aesthetic. The living space, in particular, was designed to accommodate multiple modes of use — from relaxed family evenings to larger-scale entertaining — without sacrificing visual cohesion.

One of the more unique design challenges centered around the selection of the cocktail table. The piece needed to feel minimal and sculptural while still holding up to the wear of children, guests, and everyday use. Through Cantoni’s customization capabilities and sourcing network, the design team was able to identify a solution that balanced elegance with durability, reinforcing the project’s broader philosophy of highly functional luxury.

Throughout the home, scale and proportion played a critical role. One standout moment within the dining area is the striking dining table, selected for its sculptural presence and ability to anchor the expansive open-concept kitchen and living space. Carefully layered alongside the surrounding furnishings and architectural volumes, the piece helps establish a sense of balance and continuity throughout the home.

Cantoni Kitchen Design Director Alejandro Garcia played a central role in bringing the kitchen to life, collaborating closely with the builder and architectural teams to achieve a refined minimalism rooted in precision and craftsmanship. At the core of the kitchen is Aster Cucine’s custom Italian cabinetry, selected for its ability to seamlessly merge functionality with understated luxury. Polished Italian marble surfaces further elevate the space, introducing warmth, depth, and durability while reinforcing the kitchen’s role as the heart of the home.

Rather than relying on excess, the project embraces restraint — allowing material quality, proportion, and thoughtful detailing to define the experience of the space. Every element was carefully considered to support how the homeowners truly live while maintaining a cohesive architectural language throughout the residence.

Most importantly, the project reflects a highly collaborative design process between the homeowners, Cantoni Design Studio, the architectural team, and builder Robert Elliot. Every element was considered in relation to how the home would actually be lived in — balancing refined aesthetics with comfort, durability, and functionality. The result is a residence that feels cohesive, understated, and deeply personal, where thoughtful design and materiality define the experience of the space.
