Finding love again after losing their spouses also meant finding a new place in Dallas to call home for newlyweds Royce Alsop and Linda Shore. “We moved into the house in April and just got married in St. Thomas this September,” said Royce. “It was a new space that we created together.”

Initially the couple came into Cantoni to browse for dining chairs and that’s when they connected with our designers. “They shared their story and how they were moving in together and starting a new life with one another. They are incredible people and we wanted to help design something beautiful for them,” the design team said.

They were both still in the process of selling their previous homes and were planning to mix old pieces with a few new ones. That was until Linda ended up selling all her furniture with her home, about half way through the project.

“This presented an exciting challenge to find the perfect pieces to complement the ones we'd already selected,” the design team says. "The couple wanted a transitional, monochromatic look with a contemporary twist." "We like clean lines with warmth in them,” Linda reveals.

Royce and Linda fell in love with our exclusive M Place Collection by Malerba, which is handcrafted in Italy. Our designers worked with the couple to incorporate pieces from the collection throughout the home. “They tied it all together,” Royce notes. “The design team’s input was invaluable, the rugs, artwork and lamps they selected were perfect, plus they completely redid the entry hall.”

In fact, the foyer was one of the design team's favorite spaces too. “We wanted to design a fresh and unique space to welcome guests into their home,” the design team says. “We paired Malerba’s gorgeous Dress Code Collection table lamp, which is inlaid with horn, with our McCartney Chair, a funky hair on hide rug and a wall-mounted console, to create an eclectic and inviting atmosphere.”

“The whole place feels great,” Royce says. “We’re really happy,” Linda adds. “It’s now a comfortable place where we can relax and the Cantoni design team made it fun.” The design team echoed the couple's sentiments. “We created a space that is visually appealing, warm and welcoming,” the design team says. “It was so special to be a part of Royce and Linda’s beautiful journey. We know they’ll make many new and wonderful memories in this new house that is now their home.”

We’re really happy with our new home. The whole place feels great. Cantoni tied it all together and made it fun.
