CANTONI DESIGNER, PAM SATTERLY BRINGS A WELL-DESIGNED TOWNHOME TO LIFE WITH HANDSOME, ARTFUL FURNISHINGS.

Just steps from Decatur Square—a popular, thriving walkable city with cool restaurants, cocktail bars and shops, and easy access to downtown Atlanta—is Moda Decatur, a contemporary collection of new, well-appointed townhomes. Each space boasts 11-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, high-end interior finishes and three outdoor living spaces including a fireside rooftop and screened-in porch.

With such thoughtfully considered features in all 33 of the residences, the developers wanted the furnishings and accessories in the three-bedroom model unit to be equally as handsome and considered. “Moda Decatur holds luxury townhomes with contemporary finishes, so we wanted to extend that lifestyle and feel throughout,” says Annette Izquierdo, marketing manager for Ansley Developer Services, which was tapped for the project. “We wanted to be on-trend with more neutral color tones, and keep it very clean and light.”

They turned to Cantoni, and connected with longtime designer Pam Satterly. Pam took a less-is-more approach to match the transitional space, and to complement the young professional vibe. “Decatur is such a cool place to be, and I knew the townhome design would be a great backdrop for Cantoni furnishings,” Pam says, adding that she set out to create an inviting atmosphere. “We wanted future residents to truly envision what the space could feel like.”

The resulting furnishings and art are an exercise in neutrals. The living room sofa and accent chair play off of the fireplace’s creamy hues. Color comes by way of Single Moments I and Single Moments II paintings. Pam went bold with black Thomas bar stools at the kitchen island, and the black Donna bench in the entry. In the office, she combined a set of Eileen shelves with a pair of Comma swivel chairs in black at the Savana desk.

Outdoors, Pam arranged lively spaces for entertaining, with Kartell’s Bubble sofa, Bubble armchair and an orange table, and created an outdoor dining space with vibrant seating. In the end, the metropolitan feel nods to the surroundings. “Cantoni’s furniture truly resonates with the home—it’s luxurious and unique, and the design aesthetic perfectly reflects Moda Decatur,” Annette says. “Pam was lovely.”
