When Mary approaches a project, she first determines how her clients enjoy living. From a sleek, no-maintenance loft to an entertainer’s haven—or to spaces where children can make treasured memories—she translates her clients’ needs into tailored, sophisticated environments. “It is so important for a home to speak to the way a client loves to live life,” she says.
Mary knew she wanted to be an interior designer at age seven, when she frequently rearranged the furniture in her family’s living room. After earning a degree in interior design, she went on to launch her own firm and managed projects throughout Texas and the nation for more than two decades. She has significant experience in working with contractors and on new construction, and is an expert in space planning and color cohesion. “I strive to create spaces that are adaptable, clean and comfortable,” she says.
Known among clients for her outgoing personality and adventurousness, Mary finds inspiration from nature and during her travels. She gleans ideas from her journeys—she has an ever-evolving style—and applies them to Cantoni’s broad range of products when designing. “The variety Cantoni offers enables me to find unique pieces I know my clients will love,” she says.
