With a keen eye for interior design, Andrea and Sean Parsek knew that Cantoni was the perfect fit to furnish their Arizona home after they stepped foot into our Orange County location. The couple met with our skilled designer, Richard Bustos, and discussed what they might like, a task that was made easy when Andrea mentioned that she had furnished their previous home on her own. Richard utilized Andrea’s design surety and knowledge of the home’s architecture to create a space that is the perfect balance of industrial modernity and inviting warmth.

Built with concrete to complement the surrounding Arizona terrain and accented by ample amounts of glass and windows, the couple and Richard thought it best to create contrast by bringing warmth into the furniture selection. “We wanted to change the feel of the space by using furniture that wasn’t so heavy looking and dark,” said Richard.

The goal in the living space was to be able to entertain inside or out, which could be easily done with the walls that open up to an expansive courtyard. The Lovely Day Sectional from Desiree was almost made for this home, with seat backs that can be moved to support a seating position from any direction. And to complement the custom Italian sectional, Richard styled other pieces from Desiree's collection – a cocktail table duo, a handy accent table and a low slung accent chair.

When entertaining in the living space is at an end, there’s enough space to entertain in the dining room as well. For holidays and special gatherings alike, the extension dining table from Bontempi expands to seat up to 10 people with ease. The built-in counter space runs parallel with the dining table, providing a rich display of natural wood and additional seating when necessary with a collection of neutral-hued Artika bar stools from Bonaldo.

And when it’s time to turn in for the night, Richard decked out the master bedroom with vibrant appeal thanks to the sleek-lined and colorful bed from Meridiani. The minimal lines found in the striking bed frame can be further seen in the twin neutral-toned nightstands, also from Meridiani, providing a beautiful balance between two very different colors in the spectrum. The bench at the foot of the bed was as much of a must have as some of the other statement pieces of this home’s interior design, because Andrea and Sean’s ‘fur babies’ are just as much residents of the home as their human counterparts.

“I really liked all of the spaces that we furnished,” said Richard. “Everything that we chose was exactly what we needed in each of the rooms: the ability to use the sectional seating in both directions in the living room, the dining table with its extensions, the layout of the entire space, and the flow of the items in each room. All of it was really, really nice.”

After the home’s completion, Andrea and Sean ended up selling the home and all the furnishings with it, providing the new homeowners with a stunning representation of how modern living should be, and how they can utilize Cantoni’s expansive portfolio to create something as new and exciting as the home’s stunning architecture.
