Located at 4 Geneve in Newport Beach, this 8,000-square-foot, three-level contemporary coastal residence was designed to balance architecture, interiors, and sweeping ocean views.

Developed by longtime Cantoni client Bobby Dadvar, the residence represents the latest collaboration in a relationship spanning more than two decades. Rather than relying on traditional staging, the home was fully furnished as part of the overall vision for the property, creating a more complete and immersive experience for prospective buyers.

I've partnered with Cantoni for more than 20 years across luxury residential developments in Newport Beach and Laguna Beach. Danna has been an invaluable partner, helping guide furniture selections, design direction, and color coordination. Rather than relying on traditional staging, I prefer furnishing homes through Cantoni because it creates a more elevated experience for buyers.

For Cantoni Design Consultant Danna Mao, the project began long before construction was complete. Working from architectural plans, renderings, and material selections, she carefully considered how the interiors would complement the home's architecture while enhancing the overall experience of the space.

Because the home was still under construction when we began, many of our early decisions were informed by floorplans, renderings, and the architectural vision itself. We looked closely at the millwork, cabinetry, flooring, and overall flow of the home, then selected furnishings and artwork that would enhance and complement those elements rather than compete with them. The result is a cohesive, harmonious design that brings warmth, scale, and purpose to each space while allowing the architecture and sweeping coastline views to remain the focal point.

Throughout the Newport Beach luxury residence, a light and refined palette establishes a sense of calm continuity. Warm wood tones, layered textures, sculptural forms, and expansive views create visual interest while allowing the architecture itself to remain the focal point. The result is a contemporary coastal aesthetic shaped by luxury interior design, custom furnishings, and thoughtful material selection, sophisticated yet approachable, and equally suited for entertaining and everyday living.

With formal living and dining areas, secondary lounges, bonus spaces, and outdoor entertaining zones spread throughout the home, each area was designed to feel purposeful and distinct while contributing to a cohesive overall vision. Statement furnishings, thoughtfully layered materials, and carefully curated moments create a sense of continuity throughout the residence while allowing each space to serve its own function.

More than a furnished residence, the project reflects what can happen when architecture, interiors, and development vision are aligned from the beginning. Through a shared commitment to design, craftsmanship, and thoughtful execution, the home offers a compelling example of modern coastal living at its best.
