When visionaries unite, magic happens. Such is the case in a recent Dallas new-build where Cantoni and Bernbaum Magadini Architects came together once again–this time, to create a residence that is as cohesive and bold as it is thoughtfully refined. Nestled in one of Dallas’ most exclusive neighborhoods, the sprawling modern home features an interior that serves as a true reflection of the owner’s lifestyle–sleek, functional, and effortlessly sophisticated.
As the heart of the collaboration? Cantoni Kitchen Design Director Alejandro Garcia in close partnership with Bruce Bernbaum and Tricy Magadini, using Aster Cucine’s Italian-made, clean-lined cabinetry collections. This project was a full-scale creative fusion, combining architectural form with refined interiors, down to the last detail.
“We’ve actually helped Cantoni with their commercial development over in the Design District,” Bernbaum shared. “We helped them remodel that building. We also had a couple of opportunities over the years to work on residences together as well.” That existed synergy allowed this project to flourish organically, with open lines of communication and a shared commitment to excellence guiding the process from blueprint to final installation.
Unlike most interior design companies, Cantoni acts as a one-stop resource, which becomes particularly impactful when working on a new construction. Rather than navigating through a fragmented maze of designers, vendors, and contractors, homeowners can count on Cantoni to work in lockstep with their architect, making the design journey as seamless and streamlined as possible.
This particular home is a showcase of contrasts: a striking exterior clad in black brick and geometric forms opens to an interior that is crisp and clean, with a pure white kitchen acting as its centerpiece. “Most of our projects use more natural materials–stone, wood,” Magadini noted. “But this one, with the very hard edges and bold black brick, called for a different approach. It was kind of fun to lean into that contemporary feel and bring something sleek and unexpected to the interior.”
The process behind the kitchen’s creation was anything but off-the-rack. It involved multiple collaborative meetings between the homeowner, Cantoni’s kitchen team, and the Bernbaum Magadini architects. “That’s what truly sets Cantoni apart,” Alejandro explains. “We don’t just design a kitchen and hope it fits the architecture. We work hand-in-hand with the architect to ensure every element, from cabinet depth to appliance placement, aligns with the structure and the client’s lifestyle.”
With Cantoni’s industry-leading renderings and the architectural precision from Bernbaum Magadini, the result is not only a flawless modern kitchen, but a blueprint for how great collaboration can shape the entire home.
“When you have a successful project and it all works out very well, you want to continue those relationships,” Bernbaum concluded. “We hope to have more wonderful opportunities to work with Cantoni in the future.”
This Dallas residence isn’t just a beautiful home–it’s a testament to what can happen when vision is matched by expertise, and design becomes a shared language spoken fluently by everyone at the table.
